The porter said it comes at night but never looks inside the tent. At dawn there was a ring of tracks around ours.
The prints made one complete circle, about three metres out from the tent. Not a single step turned inwards.
The porter said it was a sign of respect, not a threat. We pitched the tent somewhere else the next night anyway.
