A light rose out of the sea. The water around it didn't move.
It was time to cast the nets. About a hundred metres behind the boat, a blue light came on under the water. It rose slowly, as if something had lifted a lid.
It paused in the air, then moved south without a sound. The nets came up empty that morning, and so did every other boat's.
