The whole village was awake. There was a triangle in the sky, very low, making no sound.
The power was out, so everyone was outside. Three corners, a dim white light at each, and a darkness in the middle that hid the stars.
It passed over the pond. It left no reflection in the water. The next day everyone told it differently, but everyone drew the same shape.
