Sugarcane fields
VisitorsAmritsar, Punjab · 2001Shared by AnonymousSample story
An old man stepped out of the sugarcane. His clothes were from my great-grandfather's time.
It was our turn to water the fields. An old man stood on the ridge in a white kurta, an old-style turban and a walking stick. He called us by our family name and asked when the water would come.
I told him. He nodded and walked into the field. At home I told my grandmother, and she took out an old photograph.
